To qualify for a debit card, you must be 17 or older and have a checking account at CCU. All applications are subject to credit approval.

Debit Card: Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why isn’t my debit card being approved for transactions?A: Some possible reasons could be that you have insufficient funds, you have a loan payment that is past due, or you have exceeded your spending limit for the day.
Q: I need to purchase an item online/over the phone and the amount is greater than $1000.00, what do I do?
A: Contact Member Services at 423-396-2101 during business hours in order to temporarily raise your limit.
Q: What are the extra 3 digits found on the signature strip on the back of the card?
A: Those digits allow online access with your debit card as well as protection to prevent fraudulent use of your account.
Q: My debit card is going to expire next month. Do I have to reorder a new one?
A: No. A new card will be sent before the end of the expiration month, you will need to re-activate the card by calling the 1-800 number. If you have not received your new debit card 2 weeks prior to its expiration, please call Member Services at 423-396-2101.
Q: How much does it cost to have a debit card?
A: Debit cards are FREE to qualifying account holders.
Q: My card is cracking; can I get a new one?
A: Yes. There is a $5 replacement fee.
Q: My card was lost/stolen, what do I do?
A: Call 1-800-472-3272.
Q: Someone is making transactions on my card without my authorization, what do I do?
A: Report the card lost/stolen first, then contact CCU’s Debit Card Department at 423-396-2101 to discuss fraudulent activity and the actions that will be taken.
Q: What do I do if I forgot my PIN?
A: Call Member Services at 423-396-2101 or stop by the office during normal business hours (Monday – Friday). We can mail you a PIN reminder.
Q: Can I change my PIN?
A: You may change your PIN at the ATM machine located at Collegedale Credit Union using your original PIN and the prompts on the screen.
